Dr. Mushkat has held for the past several years a variety of senior executive (director, managing director, vice chairman, and chairman) and research (chief economist, chief investment strategist, and director of research) positions in the Asian and global investment banking and investment management industries. During this period, he has also taught economics and finance at a number of American, Australian, European, and Hong Kong universities. He is currently affiliated, as an adjunct professor, with the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he teaches graduate-level courses in the field of international economics and finance.
Dr. Mushkat completed his doctoral studies at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom, and subsequently served as a full-time university professor for over a decade. His principal interests lie in economics, finance, corporate strategy, public policy, and social science methodology. He has published widely in these fields.
